The stainless steel frame, derived form the Rocco’s, is studied in all its curved parts for controlled deformation in case of impact and is compliant with all safety requirements. The collapsible architecture is designed to dismantle the chassis in four parts (central section and three ring sections) without compromising the overall robustness of the structure.
The double external protective ring offers the highest resistance to compression in the hardest takeoff scenarios, and even when taking off at full throttle or with wings that are hard to inflate. The overall robustness in case of impact is far superior to any aluminum structure or simples steel frame. The lowest section of the safety ring is in shape of a skid, an important security element in takeoff and landing phases.
The wing supports are made in Avional anodized aluminum with CNC manufacturing process, and have been specifically studied not to interfere with the pilot’s movements. The Rocco Super caters for 70 to 120 Kilos or even more (in case of flight with a trike, for instance), and features an innovative system allowing a very precise weight balance.
The Rocco SUPER’s unique geometry and its low pivoting attachment allows for a very instinctive, active and fun piloting style, very similar to free flight. The Rocco SUPER’s standard propeller is a three-blade carbon unit built by Helix, extremely efficient and specifically designed for this engine: it features low consumption, great thrust and reduced noise level. The 15 cm difference in the diameters of the propeller and the security ring offer a good safety margin in case of impact. The propeller can also be dismantled in two pieces for easy transportation.
